The Claddagh Oyster House has won the 2018 WinterDine People’s Choice Menu.
WinterDine, the popular winter dining festival, runs for three consecutive weekends in January and February. Participating restaurants offer unique three-course menus at either a $28 or $38 per person.
During the event, diners vote online for their favourite menu, with the Claddagh Oyster House’s chef Mitchell Jackson’s creations selected as this year’s favourite among the 21 participating downtown Charlottetown restaurants.
Jackson created a different menu for each weekend, featuring offerings from both land and sea.
Mitchell graduated from the culinary program at Holland College in 2005. He has since worked at the Merchant Man Pub, Dalvay-by-the-Sea and the Whalesbone Oyster House in Ottawa before becoming the executive chef for the Claddagh Oyster House and the Olde Dublin Pub.
