There will also be a five-km run held on Friday, September 29 in support of the Cancer Society. It will leave from Westisle Composite High School at 6 p.m., go two and a half kilometers along the highway before turning and returning to the school.

Sunday’s program starts with a Survivors’ Reception at 5:30 p.m. Registration for the reception starts at 4:30 p.m.  Then at 7 p.m. a concert in support of the Cancer Society will be held in Westisle Theatre. Admission is $10.

Entertainers include Danalee Lynch-Veinotte, Cory Gallant, Joey Doucette, Kurk Bernard, Chad Matthews, Wade Carragher, Scotty MacNeill and Daniel Drouin.

Fundraising proceeds from four participating relay teams will be added to the total raised.
