Movie-lovers and their families across the Island are invited to head to the Summerside and Charlottetown Cineplex Cinemas for Cineplex Community Day.

This is the seventh consecutive year for the event, a national fundraising effort in support of WE Charity, part of WE – a family of organizations that makes doing good doable.

This year’s lineup of free films includes popular releases for all ages, such as “Kung Fu Panda 3”, “Trolls, Ice Age: Collision Course”, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates”.

Concessions like popcorn, soft drunks and select candy for $2.50 each as well as a variety of ME to WE Cineplex ‘Change Bracelets’ for a $2 donation.

Doors to Cineplex theatres across the Island will open their doors at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14 with tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Movies begin at 9:30 a.m. with theatre locations returning to regular programming in the afternoon.
