Lest We Forget concert in Wellington features musical tribute to veterans

Celebration of our nation and its veterans to be held at Wellington Legion Nov. 9

WELLINGTON, P.E.I. – A Lest We Forget musical tribute to Canadian veterans and a celebration of our nation will be held at the Wellington Legion on Nov. 9.

Musical entertainment will be provided by “good old rock and roll” band Phase II and friends. Special guest performer will be Marcella Richard.

The Phase II Remembrance shows allows audiences to relive some of the best music written during the war years. The band performs about 15 songs from this repertoire such as “The Green Fields of France,” “One Tin Soldier,” “Danny Boy,” “The Band Played Waltzing Matilda,” “Highway of Heroes,” “Blowing in the Wind,” “Abraham Martin and John."

There will also be commentary between songs.

The Thursday night show is adult only and goes from 8 to 10 p.m. tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
