CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – After playing to a sold-out show Monday at Winsloe United Church, Lady Singers of Our Century have accepted a request to present their final Christmas concert entitled, “Christmas at Home” at the Jack Blanchard Centre in Charlottetown on Dec. 20.
Hosts Judy McGregor and Joan Reeves will be joined by Jolee Patkai, Keila Glydon and Colleen MacPhee along with the house band: Judy Lowe, Hearts Godkin, Brian Knox and the newest member of the band, David Berrigan on rhythm guitar.
Patkai, a talented singer and songwriter will be performing Christmas songs of Loretta Lynn. She also preforms with the popular group, Treble with Girls, who are busy performing at various venues across P.E.I.
Glydon has performed with many different groups either singing lead or harmony. She is currently performing with Phase II. Glydon will be performing Christmas songs made popular by Patsy Cline.
MacPhee, originally from Georgetown, will be performing Christmas songs that had been favourites of Rita MavNeil.
McGregor and Reeves have been performing publicly for a number of years and are also storytellers, always with a new story to tell. They will be presenting Christmas songs recorded by Anne Murray.
The concert will take place Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m.
