Frank Ledwell Festival features art, poetry and a concert

The Frank Ledwell Festival at the St. Peter's Bay Courthouse Theatre will open Friday, Aug. 10, with an exhibit of Susan Christensen's paintings inspired by the poems of the late laureate.

The exhibit will be open 7-9 p.m. Christensen will also be onsite creating a new poem-inspired painting during the weekend.

On Saturday, Aug. 11, 1-4 p.m., register for a writing workshop by the bay with Ledwell's daughter, Jane, another award-winning author. Admission is charged. At 4 p.m., doors will open to all poetry reading featuring workshop participants.

The festival will close Sunday, Aug. 12, with an 8 p.m., concert celebration of comedy and music featuring Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines. on the Courthouse Theatre stage. Admission is charged.
