Lights for the Future campaign underway

O’LEARY

The O’Leary Community Health Foundation Inc. will apply the proceeds of its 2017 Lights for the Future campaign towards the purchase of a chemistry analyzer for the hospital’s lab.

The $60,000 chemistry analyzer, explains foundation chairwoman, Eva Rodgerson, is a critical piece of lab equipment used for checking blood chemistry glucose and electrolytes. Évangéline-Central Credit Union kicked off the campaign with a $1,250 donation.

Foundation members will be selling memorial tags for the 2017 campaign at Scotiabank in O’Leary. Tags can also be purchases at the front desk of Community Hospital.

The campaign’s official tree-lighting ceremony will be held in front of the hospital on Wednesday, Dec 6 at 7 p.m. That will be followed by caroling throughout the hospital and the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home for the patients, residents and staff. Youth from the O’Leary Church of the Nazarene will lead the caroling. Snacks and hot apple Cider will be available in the lobby.
