SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Internationally renowned children’s entertainer Norman Foote will take the Habourfront stage Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m.
Foote’s passion for music and comedy takes him around the world, and this February he comes to Summerside. His concert is a highly engaging experience featuring “Foote” classics and songs from his JUNO-award-winning album “Love My New Shirt” and appearances from his many live action props/puppets. Foote’s music has received Parent Choice and Nappa Gold Awards in the United States and Canada.
“Norman Foote is a rare gem in the children’s entertainment field,” says Kieran Keller, Harbourfront’s executive director. “It’s exciting for us to welcome him to our stage, and we love that we can make his performance a pay-what-it’s-worth show so that it is accessible to all Island families.”
“Pay-What-It’s-Worth shows allow families to reserve their tickets before the show for no upfront cost,” explains Keller. “After they see the show, they then get to decide what they pay for their tickets.
“This format really opens the theatre up to everyone. There are no barriers for children to come and experience the performing arts this way, and that is very important to us at Harbourfront.”
Foote’s tour is part of the Atlantic Presenters Association and RADARTS' Canada 150 Performance Series.
