With a month to go in this season’s festival, Adam Brazier, artistic director of the Charlottetown Festival, is already making plans for next season.
Brazier will be holding auditions for the 2019 Charlottetown Festival Season in Halifax, Saturday and Sunday. They continue in Charlottetown Sept. 16, and in Toronto Oct. 1-3.
These auditions are general in nature for overall festival casting but are not for the Children of Avonlea in “Anne of Green Gables—The Musical”. To be considered for an audition in Charlottetown, submit a photo and resume in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org. Rehearsals commence May 13, and the season closes Sept. 28.
Ensemble will be required to attend a dance call in Toronto on Oct. 1. Auditions are by appointment only and only successful applicants will be contacted. To be considered for an audition in Toronto, make all electronic submissions via Casting Workbook at castingworkbook.com.
Due to the large number of submissions received, only successful applicants will be contacted with an audition appointment. The Charlottetown Festival is a repertory company and all artists will perform in at least two productions.
