Summerside theatre hosts an evening 'guaranteed to swing you into the holiday spirit'

SUMMERSDE, P.E.I. – Harbourfront Theatre hosts Le Trio BBQ Christmas for an evening that is “guaranteed to swing you into the holiday spirit in no time,” notes executive director Kieran Keller.

On Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m., Le Trio BBQ Christmas special – “La Liste de Noël” – presents a bilingual holiday performance featuring nine musicians on stage.

Le Trio BBQ’s founding members Jean-Michel Bérubé, Mathieu Beaudet and Vincent Quirion, will be joined by Katerine Desrochers on vocals, Véronique Boucher on drums and the all-female barbershop quartet VoxA4 on back vocals.

Inspired by gypsy jazz, a harmonious mixture of gypsy and Latin rhythms, and a bit of rock 'n’ roll, the band revisits Christmas classics in the new old-fashioned way. Join the happy bunch for some laughs, sing-alongs and fun.

Le Trio BBQ will also be joined on the Harbourfront stage by a choir from Summerside’s École-sur-Mer for a special Christmas song.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to offer a bilingual Christmas event this December,” said Keller. “Le Trio BBQ is an extremely fun and engaging group, and having students from École-sur-Mer share in the experience is just the icing on the cake for us. This is an evening for the whole family to enjoy as they celebrate the Christmas season.”
