SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - Harbourfront Theatre has announced that Corb Lund, Canada’s authentic alternative country star, will be on stage Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m.

With nine studio albums under his belt and multiple CCMA, Juno, and industry award wins, Lund’s three-decade music career is a force to be reckoned with. His seventh album, “Cabin Fever” (2012) debuted at the top of the Billboard Canadian Charts. Three of his albums have been certified gold, while his latest release, “Things That Can’t be Undone” (2015), cemented his status as one of the top country storytellers and placed him on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.”

Reviews have said: "Finds Lund flirting in fresh sonic waters, while still keeping his sardonic mix of eerie lyrics and deceptively joyful vamps well intact." - Rolling Stone Country and “Melodically engaging and narratively compelling, Things That Can’t Be Undone furthers the case for Corb Lund as one of the best contemporary country songwriters.” - Popmatters

The native Albertan has no plans of slowing down any time soon. His stop in Summerside is part of a solo tour that starts April 30 and runs until May 20, covering most of the Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador. He also has many summer festival appearances planned for his band.

The Summerside performance is the first in Harbourfront’s Canada 150 Performance Series. This series will feature multi-disciplinary artists from the six Canadian Regions (Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies, British Columbia and the North) who celebrate Canada and being Canadian. The remaining artists in the Canada 150 Performance Series, as well as the rest of Harbourfront’s upcoming season, will be announced in the coming weeks.
