Dorothy Doyle of Charlottetown was awarded a Presidential Citation at the 2016 Toastmasters International Convention held in Washington, DC.

The international president presents this citation to members who have shown continual support and dedication to the organization, said Darlene Dunn, member of the Premiere Toastmasters Club of Charlottetown.

Doyle has been involved with Premiere Toastmasters since 1981 and has been instrumental in shaping it into the club that it is today, said Dunn.

“She has also helped guide many of us through our Toastmasters journeys and continues to promote Toastmasters to everyone. Dorothy currently holds a Distinguished Toastmaster designation, which is the highest educational designation available.”

Doyle was presented the award at a recent meeting of the Spotlight Toastmasters group in Summerside, as she was unable to travel to Washington to attend the International Convention of Toastmasters in person.
