Hema Lakshmi, her husband Dr. Santhosh Lakshmi, and son Saran Santhosh take advantage of the best days yet this year, spending some of the Victoria Day weekend cycling along the 6.5km of the Baywalk trail. The family often uses the multi-use path along the boardwalk, which was a busy one this weekend.

SUMMERSIDE - The Summerside Baywalk Trail along the harbourfront had plenty of traffic over the weekend, including the Prince Edward Island School Athletic Association triathalon.

Both the boardwalk and the parallel, multi-use paved trail were busy from morning until night on Saturday and Sunday. Monday's cooler temperatures will probably lessen traffic, which will suit the PEISAA just fine as they run the second annual Triton Triathalon along a portion of the route in the late morning from Credit Union Place.

The Baywalk Trail runs 6.5km from the end of MacKenzie Drive, in the west, to the restaurants and shops along Water St. near the Harvard Street intersection in the east.
