WinsloeWinsloe United Church is gearing up for a special fundraising ceilidh on Monday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m.

Headliners include Larry Campbell and Wayne Diamond.

Campbell, who has been playing music for many years, is a former member of the bluegrass band Bluestreak. The band was nominated for an ECMA and won P.E.I. Bluegrass recording of the year in both 2004 and 2005.

Vocalist and songwriter, Campbell, is well known in the Summerside and Charlottetown music scene with his band Neon Moon.

Guests will also be serenaded by Diamond, from Winsloe.

Diamond is a member of the Winsloe United Church choir, and plays keyboard for the prelude during Sunday morning service. His CD called “Down Memory Lane” weaves together the heart-warming sounds of gospel and country music.

The show host, Colleen MacPhee, has been playing music since age 12. She recorded two CD’s, and is a member of the popular group “Lady Singers of Our Century” and pays tribute to Rita MacNeil.

Tickets are $10 at the door, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
