Wellington hosts preliminary event for big Arsenault reunion of 2019

WELLINGTON, P.E.I. – The next international Arsenault reunion will be held in the Evangeline Region on Aug. 17-18, 2019, during the World Acadian Congress. The launching of the preliminary program for this family reunion will take place at the Vanier Centre in Wellington on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m.

The organizing committee invites the public to be part of the launch and find out more about the future two-day event which will attract hundreds of people from around the world.

The launching event at the Vanier Centre will feature a musical jam. Arsenault musicians are invited to attend with their musical instruments.

The members of the organizing committee have been working for over a year to plan the reunion and are looking forward to presenting the fruits of their labour.

The committee members are: Georges Arsenault (president), Sister Marie L. Arsenault (vice-president), Melina Arsenault-Gallant (secretary), Alfred Arsenault (treasurer), Gabriel Arsenault (assistant treasurer), Rose Arsenault, Leonce Arsenault, and Edgar Arsenault.

All members of the large Arsenault family directly or through marriage, are welcome to participate in the launching of the program for the reunion of one of the largest Acadian families.

In case of inclement weather, the launch will be postponed to Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.
