KENSINGTON – Members of the colour party, David Doucette, left, Lloyd Banks, Michelle Hopping, Randy McCourt and Dean Cole, recently welcomed people to the new location of the Kensington legion. After years of seeing people through its doors, the old location, which opened in 1954, was no longer functional. In February, ACOA announced it was giving the legion $250,000 to help with the move, while the legion contributed $266,450 to the project. Now the new location on Garden Drive will be easier for visitors to navigate in and out of as it is all on one level and is wheelchair accessible. The new location officially opened its doors earlier this month.
