Parent-teacher interviews will be held April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.

General News

Westisle would like to thank Student Council for organizing the pep rally fourth period on Friday, Feb. 23. There was lots of entertainment and laughs. It was also an opportunity to recognize student achievement.

Upcoming Dates

There is a Professional Development day on March 5, which will result in no classes for students.

March break begins on March 26, and coincides with Easter break and lasts until April 3.

Parent-teacher interviews will be held April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. There will be no classes on April 13 due to this.

Westisle’s school survey will be conducted again this year with a link being activated someday between April 6 and May 4.

Sports and Recreation

Westisle’s powerlifting team has participated in two qualifying events with the most recent taking place on Feb. 22 at Westisle. In the first qualifier, Chandler Gard, Nigel Perry and Marcus Ferguson all finished first in their weight class. Joselyn Jelley and Gemma Shea received first in their weight class and Eryn Hustler finished second in her weight class. In the second qualifier Jacob Gallant finished first in his weight class.

Chandler Wood placed second in his weight class. Dawson Richard and Brendon Harper received third in their weight class. Emma Lee Lyon finished first in her weight class. Gracyn Handrahan finished second in her weight class. Alecia Gallant finished third in her weight class.

Karlyn Shea placed fifth in her weight class. Sherrise Gaudet received sixth in her weight class. Claudia MacLean finished seventh in her weight class. Mary Frances Williams placed eighth in her weight class.
