Help available for choosing courses


There will be a Parent Council meeting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27.

There is no school for students on March 2 due to School Goals.

There will be another PD (Professional Development) day on March 5, which will result in no classes for students.

March break begins on March 26 and coincides with Easter break and lasts until April 3.

Parent Teacher interviews will be held April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on the April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. There will be no classes on April 13 due to this.


Students will be registering for their 2018-2019 courses in April, and to make that task a bit easier, we are asking that parents/guardians become involved as well. The online system that we are continuing to use is called MyBlueprint and can be accessed at There is a powerpoint attachment on the Westisle Parents Facebook page that provides a step-by-step approach to accessing this program as well as things to keep in mind as your child is thinking about next year’s courses.

Last week Student Council planned many lunchtime activities celebrating the Olympics. Some of the activities included: tape to the wall challenge, mini-stick tournament, Jersey Day, sled-dog races, and a polar-bear dip.

Westisle would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in bringing in food in for Staff Appreciation last week. It was all so delicious and very much appreciated. A special thank you to Kelly Herget for organizing and getting volunteers for the week.

There is a “Grade 12 Post-Secondary Information” Google Classroom set up for all Grade 12 students. Here there is important information that will help make the university/college application process easier. The Classroom will also be updated regularly with university/college visit announcements, scholarship information, and helpful tips.
