ANNUAL CAREER DAY

Career Day will be on Tues., Oct. 10, in the afternoon at Three Oaks Senior High for all Grade 11 and 12 students. This is a great way to start planning your future. Universities, colleges, and other post-secondary options will have booths set up in the gym for you to visit and ask questions.

 

ANNUAL KRHS FROZEN PIE FUNDRAISER OCT. 2-16

Just in time to stock your freezer for the holidays – KRHS is once again holding our very popular frozen pie fundraiser from Oct. 2-16. All pies come frozen and ready to bake, with the exception of the pumpkin pie which is thaw and serve. To place an order, contact a KRHS student or call the school at 902-887-2424.

ANNUAL KRHS TERRY FOX RUN

Our 37th Annual KRHS Terry Fox Run was held on Sept. 22 with all funds raised going to cancer research. This year we raised $870. Congratulations to Molly Millman and Liam Arsenault as they raised the most pledge money.

KRHS LIBRARY

October is Canadian Library Month! Events here at KRHS include: library trivia (with great prizes) and book recommendations. The KRHS library is open every day before school, at breaks, at noon, and after school. Special thanks to our teacher librarian Shelley Tremere.

FCC Drive Away Hunger Food Drive

The students and staff at KRHS were pleased to help support the Farm Credit Canada Drive Away Hunger Food Drive again this year. We started participating in 2007 so it is our 10th anniversary.

This year we collected 933 pounds of food for the South Shore Food Share serving the communities of Borden-Carleton, Kinkora, and Crapaud.

Food Drive Challenge Results:

Congratulations to Ryan McAleer’s Grade 12 Chemistry class for collecting 20.27 lbs. per student. Second place goes to Stew's Grade 12 History class for collecting 13.94 lbs. per student and third place is awarded to Bustard's Grade 11 Chemistry class with 8.1 lbs. per student. Impressive efforts again this year Blazers.

Thank you for your support. Working together, we can drive away hunger!

2018 GRAD NEWS

Grad photos will take place on Friday, Oct. 20, at Heckbert’s Photography.

This year’s grad executive is looking forward to planning a fun and exciting year for the 2018 graduates. Teacher advisors are Jaime Cole and Evan Killorn. Grad executive chairpersons are Ross Paynter and Chloe Hamilton.

ANNUAL KRHS HOCKEY POOLS

All selections must be handed in by Oct. 23. Cost: $20 per entry or $30 for two entries. Students will be handing out the pools or they can be picked up at the school. Contact Mr. Ranahan at 902-887-2424.
