Georgina Pope Presentation

Author Katherine Dewar at Keir Memorial Museum to present story of Georgina Pope, one of Canada’s most famous military nurses. Based on her book, “Called to Service: Georgina Pope, Canadian Military Nursing Heroine,” Dewar follows Georgina’s path to power from her sheltered life in P.E.I. to her experience as superintendent of nurses in two South African wars, and to battlefields of Europe during First World War.
