Pick up Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this week

Annual Operation Christmas Child campaign underway

SUMMERSIDE

 

There’s less than two weeks left to pack gift-filled shoeboxes for needy children around the world. Anyone can pick up an Operation Christmas Child or regular-size shoebox and fill it up with basic hygiene supplies, school supplies, small clothing articles, toys, and other personal items.

Organizers with Operation Christmas Child are reminding supporters to enclose $10 for each shoebox to cover postage and handling.

Shoeboxes and brochures (with labels and instructions) are available and full boxes can be returned at the following locations:

In Summerside at Church of the Nazarene, 156 Fitzroy St.; Pickup – Nov. 1-4; drop off – Nov. 15-18. Call 902-954-0524.

Charlottetown: Proude’s Shoes (161 St. Peter’s Rd.), Kwik Kopy Printing (91 Euston St.), the Provincial Credit Union (281 University Ave.), and Community Baptist Church (162 Sherwood Rd.) during regular business hours.
