Meditation series, featuring Louise Carota, starts Oct. 26 at SDU Place in Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Martha Spirituality Centre at SDU Place on Great George Street is hosting a four-part series on meditation with Louise Carota on Thursdays starting Oct. 26, 7-8 p.m.

These will also run Nov. 9, 23 and 30.

Carota invites participants to explore meditation by providing a framework to better understand their brain and its relationship to the body.

“When you have a healthy mind, the body follows. Meditation is a way of cultivating a healthy mind,” a news release states.

Each evening will provide a setting to practice the steps common to all forms of meditation; steps that help one quiet the mind and relax into a meditative state.

Through the course, Carota shares her personal journey into meditation as an artist, athlete and Reiki healer. The information she presents comes from years of self-directed study on the workings of the human brain, the power of the mind and diverse scientific principles including quantum mechanics.

It is also backed by the work of neuroscientist and best-selling author Dr. Joe Dispenza, who has spent more than 20 years helping people access their ability to heal through meditation.
