STUDENT OF THE WEEK

KRHS WELLNESS EXPO

One of our school goals for this school year was to improve our students’ mental and physical wellness. We have begun working on this goal through the development of our Student Wellness Committee, increasing the amount of time spent on the mental health components of our curriculum, hosting wellness events during evening hours and our activities during our December Month of Caring. This semester, we are planning a Wellness Expo on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The goal of this event is for students to participate in activities which are of interest to them and promote wellness from yoga and painting to dirt bike maintenance and basketball. Encourage your son or daughter to attend this important event.

HELP NEEDED FOR THE WELLNESS EXPO

We would like to provide a healthy lunch for students at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 20 and need help from our parents. If you have an interest in helping, email our school counsellor, Jessica McCarthy, at jlmccarthy@edu.pe.ca.
