Tanner Banks is the inaugural recipient of the Tanner Craswell Memorial Award.

The award recognizes a student athlete from the Holland College baseball program who demonstrates the same leadership and commitment that Craswell consistently displayed.

Leona Turner started this bursary in memory of Craswell, her nephew, who was murdered in Claresholm, Alta. on Dec. 15, 2011.

Craswell and Mitch MacLean were killed in a murder-suicide while enroute to the airport, on their way home to P.E.I. for Christmas.
