The Fair Vote P.E.I. Team isn’t prepared to abandon the promise of proportional representation, so they are sending out a public reminder for people to speak up about making every vote count.

According to the organization’s public campaign, Feb. 1 marks one year since the promise made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to make the 2015 election, the last under the first-past-the-post system.

“We want to let the Liberal government know that we haven’t forgotten and that we aren’t giving up on Proportional Representation, that 39 per cent of the popular vote should not equal a majority of seats and 100 per cent of the power,” read the groups statement.
