Ceilidh season kicking off at Winsloe United Church

A can’t miss Ceilidh is set to hit the Winsloe United Church in early January.

On Monday, Jan. 9, Jolee Patkai, Keila Glydon and Marcella Richard will join host Larry Campbell, along with the house band, for and evening of country muic and a trip down memory lane.

Patkai has two CDs under her belt and is a member of the Treble with Girls and Ladies of the Century.

Glydon, who has released a gospel album, is a member of Dino and the Harmonies, Phase II, and Ladies of the Century.

Richard, Mont Carmel native, has made musical and theatrical appearances in the Maritimes, across Canada, the United States and France.

At the ceilidh, the trio will cover tunes of various female artists like Emmylou Harris, Linda Rhonstad, Dolly Parton and many more.

The ceilidh, a fundraiser for the church located at 121 Winsloe Road, begins at 7:30 p.m. with doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door and a light lunch will be served.
