Annual Jingle Bell Walk takes place on Dec. 1 in Charlottetown

22nd annual Jingle Bell Walk and Christmas Tree Lighting happens Friday

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The City of Charlottetown’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the 22nd annual Jingle Bell Walk and Christmas Tree Lighting next Friday, Dec. 1.

The Jingle Bell Walk will begin at 6 p.m. at the Beach Grove Routes for Nature and Health Trail. Participants are to meet in the parking lot behind the Beach Grove Nursing Home.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a flashlight to light the trail and a bell for some holiday jingle. Look for the decorated Parks and Recreation truck, and be ready for some caroling.

After the Jingle Bell Walk, activities for the whole family will be held at the West Royalty Community Centre at 1 Kirkdale Dr. from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Activities include wagon rides, live entertainment by Michael Pendergast – the Music Man, inflatable activity centres and the Christmas tree lighting. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be a station to decorate cookies.


All of these activities are free and open to all ages.
