O'LEARY, P.E.I. – It’s nearly time for the sixth annual Summerside Chrysler Dodge Adult Singing Competition.
The annual event is part of the O’Leary Potato Blossom Festival. This year the festival will mark its 50th anniversary.
“We’ve got some new talent on the stage this year. The Country Ramblers will be there as the supporting band for the singers,” said Carol Ferguson, co-chair of singing competition. "It was a full event last year and it’s the same again this year. It was really packed and we’re looking forward to this year’s event."
Summerside Chrysler Dodge is the event’s annual sponsor, and owner Warren and Brody Ellis met with Ferguson on Wednesday to chat about what's in store for this year's competition.
The stage will be set at 7 p.m. July 21 at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre.
