YTV’s The Zone paused in Summerside to soak in the carnival celebrations.

The group are on a cross-Canada road trip, exploring all the wonderful and weird attractions in the country, over the summer.

Carlos Bustamante, the television host, says viewers will be able to experience and celebrate one end of the country to the other.

“This is my first time in P.E.I., and I’m loving it. We’re letting all the viewers from one end of the country see what it might be like at the other end, and it’s been very exciting.”

Drew Dafoe, the director and producer of “The Zone on the Road,” says the crew were warmly welcomed on the Island.

“This place has a lot of heart. We wanted to be a part of the community and participate in the cool activities, and we were amazed at how friendly everyone has been.”

He continued, “We also bring our host around, so they can meet the kids and the awesome super-fans in P.E.I.”

YTV’s The Zone will showcase their experience of Summerside on August 18.
