TIGNISH, P.E.I. – Tignish Drama Club is getting ready to return to the stage with a new play on April 22 and 23. “Look Who’s Laughing!” a three-act comedy, will be presented at the Tignish Parish Centre.
Directed by Michele MacDonald and written by John Randall, “Look Who’s Laughing!” tells the story of Henry Crocker, a man with a legendary temper whose tantrums are now worse due to business issues.
When Jed Tracy visits the family, Henry's wife sees a chance for action. She gets Jed to make a bet with Henry that he can't go for a week without losing his temper. Of course, everything goes wrong that week – making it even more difficult for Henry to not blow his stack.
"The Tignish Drama Club has been around for many years and has a wonderful history of so many talented people being involved for at least over 65 years,” says executive director MacDonald.
She has heard her mother’s fond memories of “being in many of those plays even before she was married in 1955.”
The April 22 show is an evening performance at 8:15 p.m., while the April 23 date is a matinee show starting at 2 p.m.
Admission for adults is $8, $5 for those under 12, and pre-schoolers are free.
Both performances will include a 50/50 draw, fudge sale, and canteen service.
