COLUMN: Lots on for rest of April at Summerside Rotary Library

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Join us on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. for the Kettle is On Book Talk. At this informal book club we talk about our favourite books, newly discovered authors, and enjoy socializing over a cup of tea.

The Needle Craft Club meets every other Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on April 27. Knitters, crocheters, rug hookers, and other need craft enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to join the group and discover a new pattern or get help with a tough project.

 

Celebrate Earth Day at the library on Saturday, April 22, at 1:30 p.m. Gerry Reichheld from Rural Roots Organic Farm will be presenting an information session on organic gardening, and we will celebrate the opening of the Seed Sharing Library at the Summerside Rotary Library.

 

One Book One Island author Kim Thúy will be at the library on Tuesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. Join us for a discussion of her award winning books including our 2017 One Book One Island selection “Ru.” This bilingual event is free but seating is limited. The program will take place in the Key Family Room and the room will be open for seating at 6:30 p.m. Do not miss your chance to hear from this amazing Canadian author.
