Brad Arsenault, a Junior Business Development Officer with Innovation P.E.I. will be the guest speaker for the first in a series of monthly breakfast mixers the West Prince Chamber of Commerce is launching on Sept. 19.
The chamber’s executive director, Tammy Rix, said the mixers will present business topics and other information relevant to the growth of the West Prince region, and sees the mixers as being a familiar, social opportunity to network during a hearty breakfast.
During the breakfast mixers, held at the Mill River Resort from 8 to 9:30 a.m., the chamber will present business topics as well as insight into local, provincial and national government issues.
Members and non-members are welcome. Pre-registration is required at westprincechamber.com or in person at the Rural Action Centre in Alberton. The cost is $10 plus tax for members and 50 per cent higher for non-members.
During the first mixer, Arsenault will provide a summary of funding opportunities available to businesses and how businesses can apply.
Although participation is optional, Rix encourages business people to prepare a 60-second presentation to promote their business and to bring business cards for sharing.
“You never know when a person knows someone else who needs exactly what you provide,” she stressed.
