Hosted by the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island, the annual Cavendish tourism job fair will be held at the Stanley Bridge and Conference Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The goal of the job fair is to give job seekers, students, employers, training institutions and government agencies a place to network.
The job fair will be most effective for businesses that are currently recruiting, expecting to, or for those wanting to promote services.
The exhibitors attending represent over 30 businesses in the Cavendish area.
“There are so many employment opportunities available in the Cavendish area and we encourage everyone to come out and see the different kinds of businesses who are hiring,” said TIAPEI CEO, Kevin Mouflier.
Tourism in P.E.I. provides over 7,700 full time equivalent jobs for Islanders, accounting for about $405 million in economic activity each year.
This event is open to all ages, skill levels and educational backgrounds of people who have a desire to work in the tourism industry in the Cavendish area.
“Job seekers, be sure to bring your resume. Tourism is an opportunity for a rewarding career,” said Mouflier.
