It’s one of the keys to her success as a realtor.

She expects that same level of commitment to service from others and when she doesn’t receive it that sets her off.

Canada Post just set her off.

Again.

Bad service seems to be the rule rather than the exception when it comes to her relationship with Canada Post, Breining said recently.

“Eight of the last 10 experiences I have had with Canada Post with registered mail have been bad ones,” Breining said.

Her most recent experience occurred when Breining received a delivery notice in her community mailbox for an envelope that contained her family’s new passports.

Pointing to the circular hole in the Canada Post notice she said that it was there for a reason.

“It’s supposed to go around the doorknob on my door. It was supposed to go to my house, not to a community mailbox. It states clearly on the envelope that a signature is required. Why would they not come to my house.”

Breining noted that her family travels a lot so the passports in those envelopes are extremely important to her.

Her husband was able to take the delivery notices into the post office and pick up the envelopes with the passports but Breining had an issue with that as well because when he presented the notices they simply gave him the envelopes.

“They know me but they don’t know him. My name was on the envelopes but they didn’t ask him for any identification or any signature. He could have been anyone.”

Breining said every time something like this happens she goes into the post office and complains.

She said all they have to offer her when she does are poor excuses.

Breining said all she’s asking for is good service.

“And I haven’t been getting it.”
