Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce hands out its business awards

A painting company, two area restaurants and a long-time Malpeque Bay Credit Union employee were among the winners at the recent Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Winners of the 11th annual Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce Business Awards are, front left, Scott O’Neil, O’Neil Home Gallery, which tied in the category of Best Website Award with Debbie Crowther, owner of the Kitchen Witch Tea Room,; David Caseley, owner of Caseley’s Painting, the winner of the Key Murray Law Small Business of Excellence Award; Eric Neal and Jaime Zehr, owners of Island Stone Pub, winners of the Best New Business Award; Marc LeClair, representing Malpeque Bay Credit Union, the winner of the CBDC Community Impact Award; and Stephane Senechal, representing Vector Aerospace, the winner of the Innovation P.E.I. Business of Excellence Award.

The 11th annual event was held at the New London Community Complex, with the theme, A Night in Greece.

More than 100 people attended, with five restaurants providing appetizers and main-course dishes with a Greek theme.
The winners, in the following categories, were:

— Key Murray Law Small Business of Excellence Award – Caseley’s Painting

— Best Website Award — Kitchen Witch Tearoom and O’Neil Home Gallery (tie)

— Malpeque Bay Credit Union Best New Business Award  — Island Stone Pub

— CBDC Community Impact Award – Malpeque Bay Credit Union

—Blair Ramsay Employee of the Year Award, sponsored by Prince Edward Aqua Farms — Ambyr Clark, Malpeque Bay Credit Union
