The event for the Island’s chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada raised $5,000.

Cystic Fibrosis Canada was founded in 1960. Since its inception, it has invested more than $235 million in leading research, innovation and care.

“These funds will help individuals like my six-year-old daughter Josie through research, advocacy and clinical support,” said Ray Carmichael, president of the P.E.I. chapter.

Charlottetown Airport Authority hosted the run.

“We are absolutely thrilled by the number of participants and their enthusiasm,” said Doug Newson, CEO of the Charlottetown Airport Authority.
