The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall on certain Cavendish Farms onion rings.

The recall pertains to four-kilogram bags of one-quarter inch X-Ring Crispy Tempura onion rings produced by the New Annan-based company.

The product was recalled by the company because it may contain milk as a potential food allergen.

The onion rings are nationally distributed, typically to hotels, restaurants and institutions.
