City man in custody for damaging property, uttering threats

SUMMERSIDE - A 42-year-old city man is behind bars and faces three charges after his arrest early this morning.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. police were called to a North Market Street home and arrested the man. He was jailed for the night.

The man now faces three charges of uttering threats and one charge of damage to property. He was scheduled to appear in court today.

Police are also investigating a theft from a vehicle on Central Street Tuesday.

Missing items include a purse, credit cards and a Samsung M-500 cellphone with the serial number 01212446544.

Also under investigation is a theft of a purse from a local hotel. The purse was located in a garbage dumper but a sum of money and credit cards were missing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Summerside police services at 432-1201.
