SUMMERSIDE -

SUMMERSIDE -- Canada West has struck with three early second-period goals to open up a 5-1 lead over Canada East in semifinal action at the 2009 World Junior 'A' Hockey Challenge.

Cam Reid (1:37), Cody Kunyk (2:59) and Connor Jones (4:21) opened up Canada West's comfortable lead.

Jordan Ruby replaced Matt Ginn in the Canada East goal following Canada West's fourth goal.
