KENSINGTON – Clutch goaltending by Shelby Sudsbury was the story of a Subway P.E.I. Under-16 Girls Soccer League (First Division) semifinal game Thursday night.

Sudsbury was perfect through regulation time, including saves on two first-half penalty kicks, and 30 minutes of overtime. Described as “cool as a cucumber on the outside” by a Kensington team official, Sudsbury then proceeded to deny Stratford on two of three shots in the game-deciding penalty kicks as her team emerged with a 1-0 victory.

Emma Dibling, Victoria Bond and Jillian Lawless scored in penalty kicks for Kensington, which will look to repeat as provincial champions when they take on the Summerside Team Two United in the gold-medal game on Saturday. That contest will be played at the Sherwood Soccer Complex, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
