Watters keys offence for West Prince under-17 team

WINSLOE – Elliot Watters scored twice to ignite the West Prince Storm’s offence in a 4-1 road win over Winsloe in the Subway P.E.I. Under-17 Boys Soccer League recently.

Watters opened the scoring at the 39th minute on a rocket of a shot, and the Storm took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Watters, Tanner Bernard and Logan Van Der Velden scored second-half goals for the Storm in heavy rain. Noah Lane answered for Winsloe.

Winning keeper was Cole Hackett.

The Storm is competing in the Codiac soccer tournament in Moncton, N.B., this weekend. West Prince’s next home game is against RC United at Westisle Composite High School on Thursday.
