KENSINGTON – Shelby Sudsbury played a strong game in recording the shutout and leading Kensington to a 3-0 victory over Stratford on Wednesday night.
The Subway P.E.I. Under-16 Girls Soccer League (First Division) game was played at Kensington Intermediate-Senior High School.
Jillian Lawless opened the scoring on a nice strike six minutes into the game, and Victoria Bond finished a nice run to make it 2-0 at the 20-minute mark.
Stratford had the wind advantage in the second half, but despite testing Sudsbury a number of times the visitors were unable to solve the Kensington keeper.
Bond scored her second goal of the game at the 77-minute mark to put the game out of reach.
Kensington, which visits Souris on Sunday at 6:30 p.m., improved its league record to 5-0 (won-lost).
