CHARLOTTETOWN -- The Holland College varsity men's golf team defended their Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association (ACAA) conference title in record fashion over the weekend at the Fox Meadow Golf Course.
The Hurricanes not only won the men's team title with a 288 total, but set both team and conference records. This is the fourth consecutive title in official conference play for the Hurricanes.

CHARLOTTETOWN -- The Holland College varsity men's golf team defended their Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association (ACAA) conference title in record fashion over the weekend at the Fox Meadow Golf Course.
The Hurricanes not only won the men's team title with a 288 total, but set both team and conference records. This is the fourth consecutive title in official conference play for the Hurricanes.
Wade Hunter, Trevor Henwood and Tye Vaillancourt all had 71 scores to lead the way for the Hurricanes. Alex Egan and Jeremy Stevenson rounded out the winning team.
Hunter used a birdie on the first playoff hole to defeat Henwood and Vaillancourt to claim the men's individual conference title.
Holland College Team Three claimed second place with a 301 team total. The University of St. Anne placed third at 307.
St. Thomas University, Mount Allison, Nova Scotia Agricultural College and Mount Saint Vincent also competed.

Women
Bobbi Wilson, on her way to the women's individual conference title, led St. Thomas to the team title. Wilson fired a 77 and was joined by teammate Michelle Viennau, who shot an 84.
Jessica Norris, who shot a 78 and finished second individually, led the Hurricanes. Norris was joined by teammates Heather Nippard and Dawn Kneabone on the second-place Hurricanes.
The men and women's golf teams will compete at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) national championships in Windsor, Ont., Oct. 13 to 17.
