ELLERSLIE – The Stewart Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary's 27th Annual Valentine's Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Royal Canadian Legion, Ellerslie.
In addition to great dance music from the band Old Habits, there will also be a 50/50 draw and lots of door prizes donated by local businesses.

Stewart Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary members Doreen Wooder (left) and Norma Ramsay were sorting through some of the decorations from past Valentine's dances at a planning meeting for this year's fundraiser.

"This is our 64th year of fundraising," said auxiliary president, Pam MacKinnon. "With the conversion of Stewart Memorial to a manor last year, there were some changes, but the auxiliary's role has remained the same - to provide items for the comfort and care of those at Stewart Memorial. We are still working hard, and the community is still incredibly supportive."

Auxiliary members are also selling raffle tickets, with the following four prizes: pine coffee and matching end tables donated by Craig Construction and Cabinetmaking; two nights accommodation for two with breakfast and dinners donated by the Rodd Mill River Resort; a 12-can case of lobster donated by Fred and Jean Kuhn; and a computer task chair donated by HMS Office Supplies. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5, and the winners will be drawn on the night of the dance.

Valentine's Dance tickets are $12 each and can be reserved by calling Wanda at 831-2684 or Doreen at 831-2975.
