SUMMERSIDE – Three teams collected 3-0 (won-lost) records at the 2012 Summerside Intermediate School (SIS) Hoopfest over the weekend.

The two-day event attracted 12 teams – six boys and six girls.
Hebbville and Central Colchester topped the girls’ standings with perfect records, and Bayview was the only undefeated boys’ team.
Games were played at the SIS and Athena Consolidated School gymnasiums.

Bible Hill Huskies19
At SIS, Julie Campbell’s 16-point effort led the host Owls while Marissa Carter led Bible Hill with six points.
Players of the game were Tiffany Cameron (SIS) and Kara Harb (Bible Hill).
Central Colchester Bears 34 SIS 31
At SIS, Katie Uphame’s 13 points keyed Central Colchester’s attack. Cameron (11) was the top scorer for SIS.
Players of the game were Morgan George (Central Colchester) and Julie Woods (SIS).
Hebbville Patriots 33
At SIS, Rhodenizer again led Hebbville’s offence, but her point total is not available. Campbell and Carrie McGuire each scored nine points to lead SIS.
Players of the game were McGuire and Lindsey Lohnes (Hebbville).
Central Colchester 43 Athena Hawks 39
At Athena, Laura Brenton (12) of Central Colchester and Athena’s Taylor McAulay (18) were the top point-getters for their respective teams.
Players of the game were Jamie Worshek (Central Colchester) and Rebecca Parnham (Athena).
Hebbville 42 Athena 35
At Athena, Sarah LeBlanc’s 13 points sparked Hebbville’s offence. Katrina Martin led Athena with a 12-point effort.
McAulay and Gracen Langley (Hebbville) were selected as players of the game.
Hebbville 38 Bible Hill 28
At SIS, Emma Rhodenzier was Hebbville’s top scorer. Her point total is unavailable. For Bible Hill, Emily MacCallum, Alicia Bould and Morgan Rath all had four points.
Players of the game were Rhodenzier and MacCallum.
Athena 45 Bayview 39
At Athena, Parnham led the local team with 15 points.
Ali also chipped in with 15 for Bayview.
Players of the game were Nikki Arsenault (Athena) and Jenny Morse (Bayview).
Central Colchester 45 Bayview Bobcats 28
At Athena, player-of-the-game Emma Gogon led Central Colchester with nine points.
Abby Forsyth, who was named Bayview’s player of the game, had a game-high 12 points.
Bayview 53 Bible Hill 44
At Athena, Ilana Ali poured in 18 points to lead Bayview while Marissa Carter had nine points for Bible Hill.
Ali and Carter were named the players of the game.
New Glasgow 30 SIS 25
At SIS, Colby Russell was New Glasgow’s leading scorer with eight points. Colton Wadman had a game-high 14 for the host Owls.
Players of the game were Wadman and Wayne Desmond (New Glasgow).
Bayview 30 SIS 25
At SIS, Hunter Vaszily had a game-leading 16 points for Bayview. Wadman, with eight points, was the host team’s top scorer.
Players of the game were Ozzy Damiani (New Glasgow) and Logan O’Brien (SIS).
SIS 53 Hebbville 49
At SIS, JJ Oram’s 25-point performance keyed the SIS attack. Walter finished with 21 points for Hebbville.
Players of the game were Oram and Cooper Stuart (Hebbville).

At SIS, Tobias Walter’s eight-point effort was tops for Hebbville. Cody Reddick netted 22 for New Glasgow.

New Glasgow 54 Central Colchester 32
At SIS, Colby Russell’s 13 points led New Glasgow while Alex Upham had 20 for Central Colchester.
Upham and Charlie Hubley (New Glasgow) earned player-of-the-game awards.
Athena 54 Central Colchester 28
At Athena, Max Hammer sank 20 points to lead the winning team. Upham led Central Colchester with 14 points.

Athena 57 Hebbville 53
At Athena, Cameron Paynter’s 24 points ignited the Hawks’ offence. Josh Chaytor (18) was Hebbville’s top point-getter.

At Athena, Vaszily continued his strong play for Bayview by sinking 18 points. Hammer added 12 for Athena.
Vaszily and Hammer were the players of the game.

At Athena, Vaszily’s 14-point effort was tops for Bayview while Upham, once again, was Central Colchester’s top scorer with 15.
