Meanwhile, the teams in the Blue Pool – Three Oaks, Souris and Kinkora – will play Friday’s round-robin games at the Hernewood Intermediate School gymnasium.

All cross-over and championship games on Saturday will be played at Westisle.

First action

Westisle coach Dana Gard is looking forward to the tournament as it will be his team’s first action since the Christmas break.

Gard is hoping the Wolverines can use it to build momentum for the second half.

One of favourites

The Wolverines go into the tournament as one of the favourites.

Westisle is currently ranked AAA as they sit fourth overall in the P.E.I. School Athletic Association/Domino’s Pizza basketball standings.

Souris and the Three Oaks AA team are ranked sixth and seventh, respectively.

Games at Westisle on Friday start at 1:30 p.m., while the first game in the Blue Pool at Hernewood is set for 4 p.m.
