ELMSDALE – Three teams finished with 2-1 (won-lost) records in the four-team Westisle Wolverines tipoff boys basketball tournament last weekend.

Those teams were Westisle, Souris and Three Oaks Team Two.

The tournament featured a round-robin format, with no playoff games.

The tournament, said Walter Davidson, coach of the host team, was a great opportunity for all teams to get their season underway.

Results

Following are the results:

Three Oaks 65 Souris 58

Matt Oram and Brady Arsenault each poured in 18 points for Three Oaks.

Matt MacIntosh (21) and Randy MacAulay (12) keyed Souris’ attack.

Westisle 72 Kensington 60

Nathan Barbour (15) and Tyler Farrel (14) were Westisle’s leading scorers.

For Kensington, Aidan Harrington sank 18 while Jake Reynolds contributed nine.

Souris 69 Westisle 65

Matt MacIntosh registered a game-high 33 points for Souris.

Westisle’s leading offensive performer was Kenan Wilkie (21).

Three Oaks 86 Kensington 74

Oram’s 27-point effort sparked Three Oaks.

Harrington led Kensington with 26 points.

Souris 63 Kensington 58

Dylan Poole had 15 points for Souris while Harrington, once again, was Kensington’s top point-getter with 19.

Westisle 61, Three Oaks 42

Wilkie’s 17 points keyed Westisle’s offence.

Oram was the top Three Oaks scorer with 10.
