Abby Best takes fillies and mares final

SUMMERSIDE - Abby Best finished ahead of Whitesand Whisper in the $7,500 late-closer final for fillies and mares on Saturday night's Lobster Carnival harness racing program at Summerside Raceway.
Abby Best had a time of 1:58.1 in the $7,500 pace. Kaitlyn Rose finished in the show position.
Kenny Arsenault drove Abby Best, an eight-year-old brown mare by Cambest - Armbro Seismic - Abercrombie, for owner Angus MacLean of Port Hood, N.S.
Arsenault recorded a driving triple and Gilles Barrieau made two trips to the winner's circle.
The total live wager for the 14-dash card was $47,802.
Live racing resumes at Summerside Raceway on Wednesday. Post time is 7 p.m.
