SUMMERSIDE -- Governor's Plate elimination winners Outlawpositivcharg and Astronomical will be leaving side-by-side from the middle of the pack when the starter says "go" in the $16,000 final at Summerside Raceway on Saturday night.

A 1:56.4 winner of his elimination heat Sunday afternoon, Astronomical drew Post 3 for driver Kenny Arsenault. Meanwhile, defending champion Outlawpositivcharg, a 1:54.4 winner of Monday night's second elimination for Terry Gallant, drew Post 4.
Take The Risk (Earl Smith) drew the rail for owner Walter Simmons of Summerside, with Porthill Alf leaving from Post 2. Marvyn Webster of Kensington owns Porthill Alf.
The race sets up for an early speed duel.
Gemstone (Walter Cheverie) drew Post 5, with Scotian Sunset (Marc Campbell), Riccaras Sun (Gilles Barrieau) and Pans O Silver (Brian MacPhee) leaving from the outside posts.
Outlawpositivcharg, who won last year's race, will be looking to become the first back-to-back winner in the 41-year history of the race.
The stakes record for the race is 1:54.2, set by Phil Pinkney with Dunachton Gale in 2007.
Astronomical's trainer Dr. Ian Moore has won the race four times. The Summerside native and Winsloe resident has been to the winner's circle with the Papermaker in 1988, McGetty in 2001, Pierce Seelster in 2002 and with Quick Challenge, who dead-heated with Luna Fantasia in 1996.
