SUMMERSIDE -- P.E.I.'s Mel Bernard rink is tied for third place and is heading into a tie-breaker this afternoon against Saskatchewan for the final playoff spot at the Canadian senior men's curling championship.

Bernard beat New Brunswick's Russ Howard 9-6 this morning at the championships, which are taking place at Bernard's home rink, the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.

This afternoon's game between P.E.I. and Saskatchewan takes place at 2.
